Short Story

Be part of the impact as we create an eight-part educational mini-series that looks at the brave men and women we call Pilgrims, who risked life and sacred honor to establish a new society built on the enduring foundation of Faith, Freedom, Virtue, and the future promise of justice and liberty for all —because all are created equal under God.

Campaign Story

The 1620 Experience is a video-based educational initiative, accompanied by episodic study guides, designed to help students engage more deeply with early American history through context, narrative, and structured analysis.

Our series will show how faith, conviction, courage and tenacity was used by Providence and unlikely allies that allowed the pilgrims to plant the seeds of a new nation in the midst of disease, racial and socio-political turmoil, and cultural conflicts.

Today, many students are introduced to history as a sequence of outcomes—what happened, when it happened, and who was involved. What is often missing is the opportunity to understand how and why those decisions were made, and what can be learned from them.

This gap matters.

Because the ability to evaluate information, consider incomplete data, and make reasoned decisions is foundational—not only in education, but in leadership, business, and civic life.

The Opportunity

Well-documented history provides a powerful framework for developing these skills.  Through primary sources—such as the journals of William Bradford—students can examine:

  • decisions made under uncertainty
  • leadership in times of constraint
  • the relationship between belief, action, and outcome

When presented within a structured narrative, these materials allow students to move beyond memorization and into analysis.

What We’re Building

The 1620 Experience brings this approach together through a fully integrated educational system that combines:

  • an eight-part narrative-driven video series
  • structured curriculum for middle and high school students
  • flexible implementation across classrooms, homeschool settings, and community-based programs

The program is designed not only to deliver content, but to support how students think—encouraging critical analysis, contextual understanding, and engagement with primary source material.

Access and Impact

The 1620 Experience is being developed as a free digital resource, allowing families, educators, libraries, and organizations to access and use the program without financial barriers.

Through aligned distribution across educational networks, the program is positioned to:

  • reach tens of thousands of families
  • support structured learning across multiple environments
  • expand access to high-quality, context-driven history education

Why It Matters

Education is evolving.  Students are learning across multiple environments, and there is growing demand for resources that are both meaningful and accessible.

By restoring depth, context, and analytical engagement to the study of history, The 1620 Experience aims to provide more than information.  It aims to provide a framework for understanding.

Delivery Timeframe

Estimated completion date:  9 months from total funding.
